What are nuts?

Nuts are actually a fruit with a hard woody outer covering, which grow on trees and bushes except for peanuts which grow underground. In actuality they are seeds that harbor intense nutrition that is why many forest animals seek them, exactly for their nutritional value. Nuts are a part of human culture and tradition, for example the smell of roasted chestnuts at Christmas time is nostalgic, bringing back family memories. Nuts are also used in sweets such as candies and pastries adding a touch of healthy nutrition to their sugary content.
